Not much Australian Volkswagen news for the month of May.
The only highlight was the 1999 VW NATIONALS. From a totally
un-biased view, I personally found the attendance was very
dissapointing. I have been to the '96, '97 and '98 nationals
and have come to the conclusion that every year for some
unknown reason the amount of people attending and showing
their prized possession is dwindling. Anyway, if you missed
this years Nationals, the only thing you missed was Hardings
brand spanking new Beetle that they imported from America.
Apart from huge 18"Mags and stickers it seemed pretty stock,
but unlike the official new Beetle, it wasn't surrounded by
a fence!. So people like you and me could stick our heads
inside and put our greasy fingers all over it. Well thats
